DESIGNING THE DRAFT
The manufacturing process begins with a flash of inspiration to materialize an idea and shape it. For a wedding ring, which seems easy to make, but you really have to consider many details such as the size, the material, the weight of the metal, the thickness, the texture, including a diamond or not, the brightness … once the artist has designed the sketch, the manufacture of the jewel starts.
WEDDING RING MANUFACTURING PROCESS
Handcrafted jewelry experts are responsible for shaping the pieces in the workshop. Clemència Peris has its own workshop, where she began her history of effort, achievement and passion, which easier the work. She personally designs the sketches and is the responsible to explain it to the artisans, so the craftsman jeweler captures with great detail the essence of the piece. Then, everything is ready to get down to work.
These are the steps followed to manufacture a wedding ring:
1. PICKING THE METAL
The first step to creating a wedding ring is choosing the metal. The designer will already have indicated in the sketch the material she wants to make the ring. But if it’s a customized wedding ring, the choice of metal will remain in the hands of the client. The most typical wedding ring is made in white or yellow gold.
2. MELTING METAL
Once the jeweler to have the material to work, he will proceed to melt it manually until it reaches the liquid status. Then, hecarefully pour it into a ingot shaped mold. Then he have to cool down the gold in order to solidify it.
3. MODELINGSHAPE IT
We already have the gold shaped. Now it is the craftsman turn. He has the delicate task of molding the ingot until the desired thickness and width.
4. SHAPE IT
It is time to come into play the multiple limes responsible for outline, sawing, grinding and give the desired shape to the wedding ring. Then, it is polished to give to it a specific finished, care and pure.
5. THE QUALITY DEPARTMENT
Finally, the wedding ring goes directly to the Quality Department, where they will verify that the jewel passes without any problems the control, perfectly. In case that the engagement ring has to wear diamonds, they would proceed to set them manually.
6. WEDDING RING RHODIUM BATH
In the case of a wedding ring in white gold, we will add one last step: a rhodium bath to give to the white gold a sparkling and bright finish.
In addition, after you can ask for the engraving option so you can have your names, initials, wedding date … whatever you want, written inside your ring. An essential detail, we consider, that will remind the most important day of your lives.
